Setting Up a Domain Registered with cloudean
If you have registered a domain name along with a hosting service, there is no need for additional setup because it is automatically set up for you.
You can manage registrant information of your domain by logging into your Client Area → Domains → Manage.
Setting Up an External Domain
If you already have your own domain name registered with another provider, and simply want to use it with our hosting, you will need to migrate your website to us first.
Don’t forget that cloudean offers free migrations. If you want us to help you with transferring your website over to us, please feel free to place a migration request.
Once your website was migrated to us, you’ll need to point your domain to our DNS, either by name servers or A record to our server’s IP address. You can find your DNS information in the welcome email of your hosting service.
If you don’t remember your domain registrar, simply do a whois check.
